I am moving this blog to Wordpress. I find that I want to talk more about my family and not just projects or books or even football these days, but I don't feel comfortable posting so that the whole world can see. I don't really have a concrete reason for why I feel this way, but I do. Wordpress allows you to password protect some posts, but not every post and since some posts are not about family I don't feel that I should block them from everyone. Anyways if you want to continue to follow my World...... I will now be blogging over at krystalskrazyworld.wordpress.com :)
Hope to see you there,
Krystal

One of the Coolest Cross-stitch projects
Ok, so I am a little bad at the whole blogging thing, but oh well. I did this cross stitch last year and finally completed it in time to give it to my husband for Christmas. Now you might think I am a little crazy for giving him this because what guy wants a cross stitch. The original intention was just for me to create it and hang it in our home, but as I worked on it my husband kept commenting on how much he liked it and wanted to display it on his desk at work. I kinda think he is crazy at times, but loved that he loved it so much. It is quite colorful and not so old lady like. The Chinese symbols are for good luck, good health, good omens, and I think there is more but I can't remember. Here is a picture of my creation.

Holy Smokes
Saying that I took a break from blogging would be the understatement of the year. Hopefully this is me getting back into the swing of things. So highlights of my summer. Here are some pics of things we did.
Some pics from our cruise:
Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney Concert Pics:
Misc. Summer Activities
We did also climb another 14er this year: Mt. Massive and let me tell you it was quite the hike. It took approximately 7 and a half hours and was a lot harder than I thought it would be. Anyways I have much more to say so hopefully I will start making some time for blogging again.
Until next time,
Krystal

The Hunger Games (Series) - Suzanne Collins
I finally listened to all the people telling me that I needed to read the Hunger Games. I absolutely loved the book and the rest of the series. This story is about a dystopia in which the government oppresses the citizens with the Hunger games, in which 2 children from each district are sent to fight to the death. The books are cleverly written and each chapter tends to drop off with a shocking revelation that leads you wanting more. My favorite was the 2nd book and that had to do more with the development of Katniss' resolution to her problems as well as plenty of surprises along the way.
These books were quick reads and definitely written in a way that had you desiring more. I love the transition of her feelings for each person in her life as things progress from book to book and chapter to chapter. It seemed to mirror reality where in life we change based on our situations.
Anyways I highly recommend this book and hope that you will all give it a chance even though the subject matter can be depressing.
